My name is Esteban Gianotti and I am head of the Foreign Trade Department at Portal Alimentario SRL the Argentina of profession, Engineer in foods and CEO www.portalalimentario.com company from the foodstuffs sector.
We are a multidisciplinary group of 11 middle-aged professionals in Natural, Exact and Economic sciences, based in Rosario, second largest city of Argentina with a population of 1.2 million people, industrial and technological centre for the soybean and food industries and second largest overseas port in the country (first in soy bean and edible oils exports in South America.
Our city is strategically located in the centre of the country and Mercosur, our port is the way out for most of the Argentine hinterland production, both final goods and not yet to market, in the petrochemical, steel and foodstuffs industries. We have come together under the name of PortalAlimentario, www.portalalimentario.com, a web site that gathers over 1200 organizations from the food industry, manufacturers of both edible goods and capital property for the industry. Most of our members have been working for over 25 years in their professions, many of them for several of the Local and Provincial Health Department offices, mainly in audits and laboratories. We are a certifying body for SENASA (Argentine Sanitary Authority) and work with official and university laboratories of our region.

We operate in two ways: from Argentina to the world and from the world into the MERCOSUR.
