Modern family loves to hide all their home theater Audio/video systems and cables in the cabinet to keep things neat and tidy. However, remote controlling the A/V systems in the cabinet can be a frustration due to the inability of signal penetration from remote control to A/V systems within.

This Professional IR Extender kit also enable homer user to remote control from another location such as bedrooms if the A/V systems in the living room are connected to the TV in the bedroom. Now you can remote control the A/V systems (in living room) from your bedroom, making sharing the A/V systems possible.

HT1Y4 enable user to control up to FOUR A/V systems. User may opt to purchase extra IR emitters if you need to control more A/V systems and extra IR Receivers if you wish to share the A/V systems in more bedrooms.

Another Peephole IR Receiver ( Model : PH-IR) also compliment well the HT series IR Extender system. This peerphole IR Receiver is plasma proof and interference free from CPL light.



How This Works :

This kit includes an IR receiver, a connecting block (which serves as a signal repeater), and IR emitters. The IR receiver is a small target device which communicate directly with your remote control. It can be mounted on your HDTV's bezel or anywhere in the room where you will want to point your remote to but the IR Receiver must be in line-of-sight with your remote control.

The IR receiver receives your remote control's commands and sends the signal to the connecting block (which you can hide behind walls or cabinet).
The connecting block then repeats and sends the same signal through the IR emitter (connected to the block). Your A/V system will received the signal/command from the emitter and react accordingly. (IR Emitter to be pasted on the IR sensor of the particular A/V system)



How to extend to other rooms?

1.Purchase an extra IR Receiver cable and extend it with a good quality 3.5mm cable (Male to female connection). This extension will enable you to connect the 2nd IR Receiver from the main block to your bedroom. Now you can remote control the A/V systems ( in living room) from your bedroom, making sharing of A/V systems possible. Maximum extension distance can be done up to 100 meters.

Note : This IR extender kit do not extend the Audio and video signal. User has to prelay cable (HDMI, RCA cables) from A/V systems in the living room to TV in the bedroom.


2. Extend the length of IR Receiver using the phoenix connector on main block with any good quality UTP CAT5/6 or other three conductor wire. Connect three points (it doesn't matter which colors you use) onto phoenix connector and the other end to a stripped 3 core IR Receiver cable. Terminate the same conductor point GND, Signal, 5V on stripped IR Receiver to the respective same screw down terminal on phoenix connector to turn it into an IR extension cable.
